What we are being told now is that Humana is not signing a contract with the state for this 90 day period. However, it appears as though care with OSF is being picked up by Health Alliance. According to the FY11 map, Peoria County has listed Health Alliance HMO.

Also, we are now being informed that you can mail your form in or fax it in and it will still be accepted. The Benefits Choice Enrollment Period has been extended until Monday. Please get these done tomorrow if at all possible, or Monday at the latest.

For state employees, as a reminder, if you did not mail in a form and had something besides Humana, then you are done for now. If you mailed in a form and want to keep what you selected, then you are also done for now. If you want to make a change, you must submit a new form. This can be mailed in or faxed to your Group Insurance Representative (GIR). It is also suggested that you call your GIR to insure that they received your form.

For retired teachers, as a reminder, if you did not mail in a form and had something besides Humana, then you are done for now. If you mailed in a form and want to keep what you selected, then you are also done for now. If you made a selection and would like to rescind it, you can send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. that states, "Please rescind my request to change my coverage to ______. I want to stay with _______." Then, type your full name and the last four digits of your Social Security number into the body of the email so they can match your email to your record. They will send you an email to confirm receipt and will update your record to reflect your request. If you want to change your selection, it can be faxed in to (217) 753-0394.
